meet our senior pastor
An anointed preacher, gifted, talented, and skillful musician, singer, songwriter, and author, Elder David Brant is not only an anointed practical teacher and a phenomenal preacher of the word of God, but he has also committed himself to being a student of the word. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education from Logos University, he is currently pursuing his second bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology at the Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, FL. His passion, even as his father’s passion was to help people navigate their walk of faith through the principles of the word of God.

Pastor James has proven to be multifaceted in church ministry and administration and has
served in many different ministry capacities. He has served as the church’s musician, minister
of music and choir director. He served as the youth pastor and director as well as the
chaplain at Zarephath Academy, the School of Excellence. Serving full-time in the ministry
alongside his father since 2007, he was ordained an elder and became the executive pastor of Zarephath Tabernacle (also known as the Sustainment Center Church) in Jacksonville, Florida.

In July of 2016, his father, Bishop James Brant, Jr. went home to be with the Lord, and his
mother, Dr. Denise Brant assumed the senior pastorate in 2017, keeping the legacy alive.
In January of 2022, Pastor James officially accepted the pastoral assignment to become
the senior pastor of Zarephath Tabernacle, the Sustainment Center Church, the church
his father and mother founded and pastored for 26 years.

Happily married to the lovely Lady Alneshia Brant of 19 years, they have a handsome son
named James Brant IV, affectionately known to everyone as Quad.

It is indeed evident that God’s hand is on his life. The obstacles and challenges that he’s faced have matured his faith and faithfulness and proven him worthy of the grace wherein he now walks.
Elder David Brant
